Along with plans to relaunch its textile brand Vimal in the festive months of September and October, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) may also increase the turnover of its textile unit at Naroda by four-fold to Rs 800 crore in the coming 3-4 years.

RIL began preparing for Vimal's re-launch in January and has chalked out a forceful brand-building strategy that will see an investment of about Rs 20-25 crores.

The relaunch will take place along with the proposed launch of RIL's first hypermarket, Reliance Mart, on SG Highway in Ahmedabad.

Under the revamped Vimal brand, RIL will set up retail chains in fabric and garments across India. Without naming anyone, sources said the company has assigned an English architect to design its new Vimal retail shops.
