Textile Days India: perfect combination for textile sourcing & selling

An added attraction that will completely round off the textile fair offerings in 2007, will be the debut of Techtextil India, the international fair for technical textiles and nonwovens. All three events held under the banner of “Textile Days India” will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai from 10 – 13 October 2007.
Speaking at the last event, Mr. Detlef Braun, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said, “With this move Messe Frankfurt has unleashed the powerhouse of Indian textiles unto the global arena. India is an incredible textile country not only with its textile tradition but also with its depth of products, creativity and quality, and this is unabashedly evident at Textile Days India.”
Speaking on new developments in the fast changing market, Ms Shammi Nagpal, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt India said, ”the World Trade Organisation will review India's trade policy this May. Furthermore, the Finance Ministry is considering reducing custom duties for machinery used by Textile and Leather industries to 5% in the forthcoming budget 2007. All of these will further enable modernisation and enhance production”.
