S Kumars Nationwide Ltd (SKNL) announces its results for the second quarter ended 30th September, 2007.
Sales for the quarter was Rs 391.10 crore: On the back of 40.6% growth in turnover to Rs 391.10 crores from the previous years corresponding quarter figure of Rs 278.25 crores, operating profit rose to Rs 84.78 crore, a growth of Rs 45.7%.
Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter stands at Rs 43.21 crores against a corresponding figure of Rs 27.42 crore indicating an increase of 57.6%. Operating margin has improved to 21.7% from 20.9%.
Commenting on the results, Mr. Nitin S. Kasliwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, SKNL said, ”The Company would maintain its growth momentum through continued thrust on its existing businesses. Our concentration on the domestic market has permitted us to expand market share and more importantly protect margins.”
Q2 2007 Snapshot: 1) Net Sales from operations was Rs 391.10 crores for the quarter ended September 30,2007 as against Rs 278.25 crores for the previous year in the same quarter. 2) Profit Before Tax was Rs 48.90 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 31.01 crores for the previous year in the same quarter. 3) Net Profit after Tax was Rs 43.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as against Rs 27.42.Crores for the previous year in the same quarter.
