Ethan Allen Interiors Inc announced that its subsidiary, Ethan Allen Operations Inc has purchased a cut and sew leather manufacturing facility located in Silao, in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. The plant is about 40,000 square feet and currently employs 165 people.
Farooq Kathwari, Chairman and CEO commented, "We are pleased to add this plant to our upholstery manufacturing division. We are impressed with the hard working people and their ability to produce high quality products.
"Our objective is to grow this plant to support the cut and sew product requirements of our upholstery plants in the United States."
