The Johns Hopkins study examined four factors: (1) How quickly subjects fell asleep, (2) How few times subjects woke up, (3) Perceptions of sleep compared to normal, and (4) Overall quality of sleep. Conclusions indicate Mediflow's patented water-based pillow ranked "Best" in all 4 categories when compared to others tested. More than 3 million Mediflow pillows have been sold in the U.S. to date.
"Our Mediflow pillows enhance the quality of a night's sleep. The patented water-based design therapeutically relieves chronic neck pain," says Maurice Bard, CEO of Mediflow. "The exclusive construction using water provides significant advantages over other pillows, because the water conforms to the contours of the head and neck."
The Mediflow Waterbase pillow is also unique in that it offers a web site featuring "Top 10 Sleep Tips," as recommended by medical sleep specialists. Some tips include:
• Take technology out of the bedroom. The television belongs in the den or family room • Don't lie in bed if you're not tired. Go to a quiet place and read until you become sleepy, then reattempt falling asleep • Consuming caffeine before bedtime is not suggested, including over-the-counter medications that may contain caffeine
Mediflow is a company that specializes in manufacturing pillows for reducing neck pain and improving quality of sleep. Mediflow Inc. has had a great reputation within the health care community for developing the Waterbase pillow to handle such needs.
