Jacobs Engineering Group Inc announced that it received a contract to provide engineering and detailed design services to Dow Benelux B.V. (a subsidiary of Dow Chemical Company) for a polyol expansion project at the polyurethanes facility at Dow's Terneuzen site in The Netherlands.

Officials did not disclose the contract value. Jacobs previously completed the project's conceptual design. Their new scope of work involves the new plant, revamp to the existing facility, adding a new seawater intake facility and distribution system, and a new thermal oxidizer unit to control emissions. As with the earlier phase, this work will be executed in Jacobs' Leiden office with support from their engineering center in Mumbai, India.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Andy Kremer said, "We are very pleased to continue our relationship with Dow Chemical Company on this important project. The new facility will help them to close the supply and demand gap with their global customers. The project deepens our working relationship with Dow, which has included recent projects in Germany, Kuwait, Italy, and Belgium."

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc, with over 52,000 employees and revenues exceeding $8.0 billion, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
