Chiripal Group, an Ahmedabad based company involved in textiles and petrochemicals, is planning to join big players in the fields of Information Technology (IT).
The company wants to establish an IT special economic zone (SEZ) around Gujarat's capital Gandhinagar and had recently sought the approval of the Government for the same.
A projected investment of Rs50 to 70 crore is likely to be absorbed by the unit whose establishment will increase the number of IT SEZs in Gujarat to over a dozen.
Chiripal Group is aiming to set up the unit on an extensive 10 acre near Koba. Further, experts confirmed that Government was keeping a track of nearly 19 MoUs that were sanctioned during an IT summit the previous year.
In an exclusive interview with Fibre2fashion, Mr Rakesh Dave from Chiripal Group of Companies stated,"For our business growth IT will play a crucial role in Management Information System (MIS) which will help provide easy availability of information, business strategies, taking quick decision, and many other things. However, the company is aiming to enter into IT by next year."
