Bids to open for machinery sale at Bolan Textile Mills

Machinery lying at the Bolan Textile Mills will go under the Privatisation Commission's hammer on September 15, at Islamabad.
Owned by Iran Pakistan Industries (Pvt) Ltd (IPI)and located at Baleli (near Quetta Airport), District Quetta, Baluchistan, the spinning, weaving, processing, auxiliaries and other items are being offered on "as is where is" basis through a competitive process.
Balon Mills, statrted in January 1980, was shut down in 1983.
It was a fully integrated unit having 50,000 spindles, 1,100 looms with complete dyeing and finishing facilities of around 80,000 meters per day production capacity of variable widths ranging from 36" to 96".
26 parties which submitted EOIs were handed the bidding documents for the sale of assets.
Parties have been asked to deposit earnest money by September 9, 2005 to partake in the bidding process to start on September 15, 2005.
