Responding to customer requests for an additional source of fully drawn nylon on beams in the NAFTA/CAFTA region, RadiciSpandex Corp announces the introduction of Type 6,6 nylon to the range of fiber products the company offers the apparel market from its Gastonia facility.
Effective immediately, textile manufacturers can source from RadiciSpandex warp drawn nylon in 40 through 100 denier for stretch fabrics, rigid warp-knit first quality fabrics or whites-only fabrics.
“We are very pleased to announce this new business initiative, which was inspired by demand from our valued customers who have long faced a limited domestic supply of nylon yarn,” said RadiciSpandex CEO Marty Moran.
“As the North American arm of The Radici Group, which has a major presence in the worldwide nylon market, it made sense to utilize the The Radici Group's expertise and leverage the natural synergies of spandex and nylon end uses in the apparel textile markets. Although spandex remains our primary business, we are happy to introduce this warp draw venture as an optional service to our customers, who are our first priority.”
RadiciSpandex took great care to maximize quality control when setting up the infrastructure of its warp draw operation. Installation of the draw warper took place under the expert guidance of Radici Group technicians who flew to the Gastonia plant from the parent company's headquarters in Bergamo, Italy. The nylon fiber is not produced by The Radici Group and is compliant with NAFTA, CAFTA and CBI regulations.
