On December 5th, 2007, PEGAS - NW a.s. (a wholly owned subsidiary of PEGAS NONWOVENS s.r.o.) increased its registered capital from CZK 5,000,000 to CZK 550,000,000. PEGAS - NW a.s. was established in 2005 as the legal entity for the recently launched newest 8th production line.
The increase of the registered capital was realized through an offset of the receivables of the parent company PEGAS NONWOVENS s.r.o., which came from the borrowings to PEGAS – NW a.s. This was connected to investments in the 8th production line.
PEGAS NONWOVENS SA is a holding company based in Luxembourg with operating companies based in Znojmo and Bucovice, Czech Republic. PEGAS NONWOVENS is a manufacturer of polypropylene / polyethylene nonwoven textiles for the hygiene, industrial, construction, agricultural, medical and other specialized sectors.
These textiles are primarily used for the manufacture of baby diapers, feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products. The Company is active in developing new products demanded by the market and thereby maintains its position of technology leader in the European nonwovens market. PEGAS NONWOVENS currently has approximately 380 employees.
