Inaugurating the fair, Mr. Hartmut Schauerte, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, said “both the Indian and German governments are fully committed to tightening the bonds between our two countries.
The textile industry has an important part to play in this process considering that it accounts for 28% of German imports from India. There is a high demand for technical textiles from India and Germany is well positioned to provide an appropriate solution”.
Lighting the traditional inaugural lamp, Mr. Detlef Braun, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said, “For the first time in its 750 year history, Messe Frankfurt has staged all three textile fairs at the same time at the same place.
This requires tremendous organisation skills and efforts, and we are proud to have that honour bestowed upon our Indian operations. The incredible strength of India as a textile powerhouse is fully evident at these fairs”, he said, delighted at the response of the visitors and exhibitors at the fairs.
There is no doubt that India is unbeatable when it comes to textiles, and “Textile Days India” provided an outstanding opportunity for the entire industry to interact and do business.
Never before in the country was there such a gathering of market leaders from all sectors. The quality of exhibitors, product displays, international trendshows & symposia, confirmed once more that Messe Frankfurt leads the market in this sector.
