Science leader DuPont Teflon fabric protector has stepped up to the plate with a new offering: Cool & Dry Teflon fabric protector with moisture management and stain release technology, designed specifically for athletic apparel.

Unlike traditional stain protection, new Cool & Dry Teflon fabric protector knocks the competition out of the ball park with the combined benefits of durable stain protection and moisture management, a key requirement of synthetic sportswear. It also provides superior washout of dirt and grass stains while preventing soil deposition during laundering, preserving "as new" brilliance.

To prove how well Cool & Dry Teflon fabric protector works, a test has been launched in Colorado Springs, Colorado with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A (Top) Minor League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Teflon fabric protector has been applied to four new Sky Sox uniforms. Four other new uniforms have been left untreated.

INVISTA, a licensed marketer of DuPont Teflon fabric protector, will conduct periodic evaluations on the product's performance through the remainder of the season. At the end of the season, having endured about 20 games, both the treated and untreated uniforms will be taken to a laboratory for rigorous testing. The results will be announced once the testing is complete.

"They believe strongly in this product and that's why we're doing 'real world' testing," states Lisa Pfrommer, North America Marketing Manager. "We are confident the players will benefit from the moisture management, which allows for quick absorption and moisture wicking. The equipment managers will be happy with how the uniforms maintain their 'as new' brilliance."
