Personal care products information provider Kimberly-Clark has been selected as the sustainability leader in the Personal Products sector of the 2006 Dow Jones Sustainability World (SW) Indexes. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide.

Reflecting its commitment to creating sustainable growth and shareholder value

Only the top 10 percent of the 2,500 largest companies in the Dow Jones Global Index are selected as components of the DJSI World Indexes based on a range of economic, environmental and social criteria. Moreover, Kimberly-Clark was ranked best in class among a group of 17 personal care companies worldwide. This is the first year these companies have been evaluated as a separate group within the DJSI.

Kimberly-Clark earned the highest scores in its sector for a number of criteria, including corporate governance, customer relationship management, brand management, strategy for emerging markets, environmental and social reporting, environmental management systems, and product information and impact.

Kimberly-Clark always has been a company that touched people's lives. Although our size and scale has changed dramatically since 1872, our founders' values still guide us -- manufacturing the best possible products, providing quality service and dealing fairly with employees and customers. Generations of successful men and women have followed those values, evolving Kimberly-Clark into a successful worldwide enterprise.
