BASF to boost caprolactam, nylon 6 polymers prices in NA

BASF announced that it will increase prices for caprolactam, as well as Ultramid and Capron nylon 6 polymers for spinning and extrusion applications, by 10-12 percent, effective October 1, 2005 in North America (NA).

The price increase is due to significant increases in raw material and energy costs. This action will apply to customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
