Huntsman to increase specialty MDI prices in the NAFTA region

Huntsman Corporation announced that its Polyurethanes division will increase prices in the NAFTA region for all specialty RUBINATE MDI products, SUPRASEC MDI products, and all other specialty MDI products by $0.08/pound.
These increases will apply to all customers in the Americas region, and will be effective April 1,2008, or as specific contracts allow.
Greg Geaman, Vice President Americas for the Polyurethanes division said “this price increase is required because our raw material costs continue to escalate to record levels and we need to achieve re-investment economics against a background of strong demand for MDI.” Huntsman Corporation is North America's largest producer of MDI.
