OMNOVA Solutions' Specialty Chemicals business announced a price increase of $0.04 per dry pound for styrene butadiene emulsion polymers and up to $0.03 per wet pound for all other styrene-containing emulsion polymers.
The increases, which are in addition to those previously announced, are effective April 5, 2008 for all specialty markets including coatings, tape & adhesives, nonwovens, floor care and construction, and are necessitated by the continuing escalation of chemical feedstock costs, specifically styrene and butadiene monomers.
