Hancock Fabrics presents Hurricane update

Fabric wholesale merchant Hancock Fabrics, Inc reported that the operating hours of 31 stores were affected by Hurricane Rita. Through Monday, these stores lost a total of almost 100 full days of business and 25 partial days. Fifteen of the stores remained closed on Monday; however, at least eleven of them are expected to reopen. Twenty-nine of the stores have reported that there was no serious property damage, while the Company is awaiting reports on the other two stores. In addition, 4 stores remain closed due to Hurricane Katrina.
