Vertically integrated fabricated products producer Westlake Chemical Corporation announced that it has cancelled its presentation originally scheduled to be made on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at 9:15 a.m. Eastern time at the CSFB 18TH Annual Chemical Conference in New York City. The cancellation is due to the impact of Hurricane Rita on the Gulf Coast where two of the Company's facilities are located. Westlake Chemical announced that those two plants sustained only minor damage during the hurricane.
