JCPenney greets shoppers to new store in North Tampa

The 103-year-old retailer has proudly served Tampa since 1933 and the new store will contribute approximately 180 jobs to the city's economy. JCPenney at The Shops at Wiregrass will operate Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Fall Store Openings The North Tampa store is one of 10 new JCPenney department stores opening this fall. On October 7, the company is also celebrating openings in Jonesboro, Ark.; Southaven, Miss.; Green Bay, Wis.; Columbia, S.C.; Fayetteville, Ga.; and Katy, Texas. On November 5, three additional stores will open in Goodyear, Ariz.; Friendswood, Texas; and Copley, Ohio.
