Tony O'Driscoll, Director of Sales says that prices of oil and natural gas are at record levels and, unfortunately, there is no indication that a return to historic levels is likely,” says Tony O'Driscoll, Director of Sales. The reality of the marketplace has fundamentally changed with regard to energy, raw material prices and feedstocks. While Ticona will continue to drive productivity gains, we have no choice but to increase the prices of our polymers.

Multi-national company Ticona Technical Polymers is one of the businesses of Celanese Corporation. Ticona produces and markets a broad range of engineering polymers and achieved sales of $863 million in 2004. Ticona has approximately 2,000 employees at production, compounding and research facilities in the USA, Germany and Brazil.

Ticona's materials are world leaders in acetal polymers, liquid crystal polymers, long fiberreinforced thermoplastics, and ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene.
