OMNOVA raises prices for carpet chemicals, effective June 9

OMNOVA Solutions announced a price increase of $0.20 per dry pound on styrene butadiene latex for carpet and related markets, effective June 9, 2008.
This increase is in addition to those previously announced and is necessitated by the unprecedented inflation in energy and raw material costs, driven by the high price of oil and shortages of key raw material feedstocks.
OMNOVA Solutions Inc is a technology-based company with proforma 2007 sales of $836 million and a current workforce of 2,810 employees worldwide.
