Today's media events at the St. Augustine Road, Colonnade Avenue and Town Center Drive locations consisted of ribbon-cutting ceremonies hosted by Kohl's executives as well as local officials. Attending dignitaries at Viera included Larry Schultz, mayor of Rockledge, Duwayne Lundgren, special assistant to Commissioner Sue Carlson, Pam Gillespie, executive administrator to Congressman Dave Weldon and Michael Jessup, director of development for Shands Health Care in Gainesville.
City Commissioner, Seth McKeel, Lakeland Police Department Public Information Officer, Jack Gillen, and Holly Brody, development assistant for All Children's Hospital Foundation in St. Petersburg, attended Lakeland's ceremony. Julie Handley, director of development at Wolfson's Children's Hospital in Jacksonville was present at the St. Augustine Road's media event.
