Operating income improved to $30.8 million in the third quarter of 2005 from $21.5 million in the same period last year. Operating income in the third quarter of 2004 included restructuring charges of $2.6 million. Year-to-date net sales were 7.3 percent higher than last year. Excluding the effect of changes in currency translation rates, net sales were up 4.1 percent.
