Nation's leading bed retailer and creator of the Sleep Number bed, Select Comfort Corporation announced results for the third quarter ended October 1, 2005. The company reported record net income of $11.4 million, or $0.30 per diluted share, compared to net income of $8.0 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2004. Third quarter 2005 net sales increased 22 percent to a record $175.8 million, compared to third quarter 2004 net sales of $144.3 million. Same-store sales increased 15 percent during the third quarter.
