World's largest carpet producer Interface Inc, a worldwide floor coverings and fabrics company, announced results for the third quarter ended October 2, 2005.
Third quarter 2005 results included a 9.5 percent increase in sales to $243.9 million, from $222.8 million in the year ago period. Operating income was $20.5 million in the 2005 third quarter, a 28.9 percent increase over operating income of $15.9 million in the third quarter 2004. As a percentage of sales, operating income improved to 8.4 percent in the third quarter versus 7.1 percent of sales in the year ago period.
