Merszei returned to Dow in July this year after serving four years as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alcan Inc.
Prior to moving to Alcan, his career with Dow had spanned 24 years.
He joined the Company in 1977 and subsequently worked in a variety of treasury and finance-related positions around the globe, including five years as vice president and treasurer. Merszei is a member of the Conference Board Committee of the Council of Financial Executives and a member of the Corporate Executive Board Working Council for CFOs. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Albion College in Michigan.
Gary R. Veurink, corporate vice president - manufacturing and engineering, The Dow Chemical Company
Veurink was named to his current position in January 2004 and later that year joined the Office of the Chief Executive.
Prior to his current role, Veurink was the Manufacturing and Engineering vice president for Chemicals and Intermediates, and before that served as the business operations leader for Performance Chemicals, as well as vice president and site leader for Dow's Michigan Operations.
