Grimsley joins Tietex as VP of Design & Merchandising

Durham informed that they've actually done a good job and made a lot of gains over the past few years; but frankly, they're not at all satisfied. They've known for some time that we had to change if they expected to position ourselves at the top of the fabric world. Now, with Kim Grimsley, they've taken a substantial step that was necessary to take our business to that next level.
He added that they looked far and wide to fill this key post. There were any number of people qualified to take over our design department, but Kim's capabilities go much deeper. Not only is she an avid team builder and proven designer and merchandiser, but she also has a savvy business sense that we know our customers will appreciate.
Then, when they factor in her upbeat spirit and passion for this business, they know they've got someone who's a mover and shaker in this business.
Durham stated that Grimsley, who earned her textile degree with a concentration in design from North Carolina State University in 1991, expects to make an immediate impact on the Tietex fabric program.
Founded in 1974, Tietex International Ltd is a principal manufacturer and supplier of fabrics for a wide variety of applications developed within three operating divisions -- Interiors, Ticking and Technical. The company has operations in the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Thailand and Australia.
