Honeywell has completed the sale of its US nylon carpet fibres business to Shaw Industries, said official of Honeywell.

The deal comprises fiber-producing factories at Anderson, Clemson, and Columbia, South Carolina, and Honeywell's 50 percent investment in Evergreen Nylon Recycling.

Both companies also entered into a long-term agreement under which Honeywell will provide Shaw with caprolactam and nylon resins.

Honeywell will retain its intermediary businesses, manufacturing caprolactam, nylon resins, ammonium sulfate, and other chemicals.
