Solutia deletes force majeure declaration for certain Nylon Div products

Leading manufacturer and provider of performance films, specialty chemicals and an integrated family of nylon products, Solutia Inc announced that it has removed the force majeure declaration that had been in effect for certain products within its Integrated Nylon Division.
The force majeure declaration had been announced in response to raw material and utility supply limitations caused by hurricane activity in the Gulf Coast region.
Those raw material and utility supply limitations have been sufficiently alleviated.
"They would like to thank their customers and suppliers for working with them to minimize the impact of this disruption," said Jonathon Wright, president of Solutia's Integrated Nylon Division.
"While their industry continues to face high raw material and energy prices, they are pleased to see that raw materials have begun to flow out of the Gulf region at a more normal rate."
