Fernando & Robert join nonwovens Co PGI

Nonwovens producer Polymer Group Inc (PGI) announced that two appointments in its global medical business unit to support ongoing growth, including the addition of the company's fully integrated medical production facility in Asia.

Fernando Marin has joined the company as senior director for the business unit. Most recently, Marin was manager, energy marketing and sales at FMC Corp. in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was employed for 14 years in various sales and marketing management positions. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia.

Robert Best has been named director, sales and marketing – medical. Prior to joining PGI, Best was vice president, sales and business development, at AGA Corp. in Amasa, Mich. In addition, he has held marketing and sales management positions with Rayonier and Ahlstrom Dexter. Best has a bachelor's degree in international studies from Indiana University.

Both Marin and Best are based at the company's Mooresville, North Carolina location.
