Migration of rural people to urban areas and exploding population have incrased the unemployemtn rate in Turkey to 11.2 percent during November - January period, revealed a survey.
According to survey, another significant factor in rising unemployment is the country's once-robust textile sector, which is destroyed by cheap imports from China.
The figure was higher than the rate for 2005, when country's unemployment averaged 10.3 percent, higher than government target of 9.8 percent.
However, government tries to redirect up to 30 percent of workers who are currently employed in Turkey's huge agriculture sector.
