Textile workers uncertain about future

About 40 workers of John Brown Hosiery factory in Market Street, Kyneton, are scared of loosing their jobs after the owner went to voluntary liquidation.

Gess Rambaldi of consultancy firm, Pitcher Partners, has taken control of company's assets to determine its ability to trade.

Addressing the staff, Rambaldi said that employees have priorities over the assets of the company.

Brad Anderson, representative of Textile Clothing and Footwear Union, visited company and expressed concern for workers, especially women.
