Private industries that are part of Punjab Economic Forum (PEG) was appreciated by Governor Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool for increasing the salaries of their workers by Rs1000.
Attending the meeting at Lahor Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), he said that industries related problems should be sorted out quickly.
In recent time, 15 PEF industries had increased the salaries of their workers.
Mian Shafqat Ali, Vice President of LCCI said that 70 percent of textile exports are coming from this region.
He also informed that LCCI was about to start inter-apprenticeship and export management diploma courses at Punjab University.
