Ministry of Labor and Employment estimates that this year, over 1.4 million jobs will be created in the country, representing a slight rise from 1.25 million jobs that were generated in 2005.
Paula Montagner, Coordinator, Labor and Employment Market Observatory, explained that apart from food and agriculture industry, textile and apparel will be important sector which will see large number of new employments.
Though the sector, traditionally, cater to domestic needs, 2006 will see an increasing interest to export fashion products.
Montagner also added,” Nobody wants to buy products that were manufactured using slave-live labor. This is an incentive for employers to hire their employees on a formal basis."
