To revise the minimum wage rate of ready-made garment workers, a meeting was held in Dhaka, which ended without any outcome.

Government had formed the board comprising six-member to discuss this issue.

Representative of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Annisul Huq has submitted financial reports of garment factories of last 2-3 years to board member to examine pay rise affordability of these factories.

On the other hand, workers are demanding minimum Tk3000 basic salary.

The board is scheduled to meet next week to discuss this issue again with a new outlook.
