National Union of Metalworkers of SA (Numsa) has decided to apologise to textile workers union after it distributed low priced Chinese T-shirts to its members during regional conference in Cape Town at the weekend.
Distribution of Chinese T-shirts added insult to the injury as textile industry has been badly affected by the cheap imports of Chinese clothes in local market.
Participants were dismayed to see that T-shirts were not made in South Africa and decided to return the same but were satisfied after organizers promised that it would not be repeated.
