300,000 people to be employed in exports & industrial zones

Around 300,000 people will be employed in industrial parks and export processing zones in HCM City in sectors such as engineering, garments and textile, electronics, plastic and rubber, informed Industrial Export Processing Zones Authority.
Out of proposed 300,000 people, 119,190 will be employed in industrial parks, 98,810 will be placed at Linh Trung 1 and 2 export processing zones and 82,000 will be employed in Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone.
According to Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of HEPZA, investment will be made in advanced technology rather and there will be less job opportunity for unskilled labours.
It is expected that 5 percent of the employed workers will have tertiary education, 17 percent will have vocational training, while high school education and manual labourers will account for 35 and 43 percent respectively.
