ITG Virginia workers to be placed at Burlington & Raeford plants

International Textile Group (ITG) revealed that after the closure of Hurt production unit, most workers will be placed at the Burlington and Raeford facilities.
The Southern Virginia plant with 500 employees is expected to cease operations by May-June 2007.
Company has appealed the Alamance County to provide around US $45,000 as local incentives.
However, it was too early to know how many of the 500 jobs in Virginia might end up at one of the company's North Carolina facilities.
