Workers protest against maltreatments

Workers of an unknown firm complained that they were being forced to work 16 hours a day instead of legal 8 hours and paid half-salary with inhuman treatments.

Workers complained that their passports were seized and they were not paid 200 dinars monthly and did not have living quarters and legal residency.

To oppose such maltreatments, 200 workers peacefully protested outside Amman Governorate.

These workers protested right after Labour Minister Bassem Salem and Prime Minister Maaruf Bakhit toured an industrial estate.

Prime Minister Bakhit ensured that such behaviours will not be tolerated and workers will get their right.
