Rifu Apparel liable to pay $11,712 to injured worker

Garment manufacturer Rifu Apparel Corporation is liable to pay a total of $11,712 in unpaid wages and liquidated damages to Jinjua Pan, an injured worker, according to the findings of the Department of Labor.
Labor administrative hearing officer Barry Hirshbein has ordered Rifu to pay complainant Jinjua Pan $5,856, less the withholding tax for contract wages, within 21 days.
Hirshbein has also directed Rifu to pay Pan an additional $5,865 in liquidated damages, in addition to attorney's fees to Pan's counsel, Joe Hill.
