RMG workers organizations yesterday called for a strike on 15 -16 October across the country rejecting the proposed minimum salary of Tk 1,662.
They also proclaimed many other tougher programmes including countrywide road, river and railway blockade demanding the minimum salary of Tk 3,000 for the workers.
RMG organization leaders felt the proposed pay structure were `unrealistic' and `a betrayal' with the workers.
The declaration would lead to unrest in the RMG industry.
