Germany's exports to non-EU nations sink 2.1% YoY in Jun 2023

The total value of goods exported amounted to €60.1 billion after seasonal and calendar adjustments. However, these figures represent a 2.1 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decrease.

In original values terms, the value of goods exported in June 2023 was €62.7 billion, marking a 2.0 per cent increase from the same month in the previous year. The variation in figures can be attributed to calendar and seasonal adjustments, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said in a press release.

The marginal increase in exports signifies some resilience in the German economy, even though the growth is not quite robust. However, the YoY decrease highlights potential challenges and uncertainties in the global economy that Germany will need to navigate in the coming months.
