Chinese cotton yarn exports & imports plunge in July

China's cotton yarn exports fetched 26,500 tons in July 2011, a decrease of 9.25 percent from the previous month, and down 46.68 percent year on year.

Export value stood at US $160 million, a decline of 13.04 percent from the previous month and down 26.94 percent year on year.

China's cotton yarn imports completed 62,400 tons in July 2011, an increase of 26.8 percent from the previous month, but down 25 percent year on year.

Import value reached US $245 million, an increase of 17.79 percent from the previous month, and also up 0.41 percent, year on year
