Bangladesh's imports for the July to November, 2005 was $5.73 billion.
Import in 2005 for the same period has been $6.01 billion, a rise of 4.88 percent.
Bangladesh's import bill rose to $14.07 billion, a rise of 13.47 percent, in the last financial year to June 30, 2005.
It was $12.40 billion in the year previous to that.
Major imports during the July November period were, petroleum products, textile fabrics and accessories for the garment industry, capital machinery, chemicals, and edible oils.
