A freighter service from Dubai to Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, is slated to start from January 13 next.
Emirates SkyCargo will operate jointly with Air Cargo Ltd, a subsidiary of Air Malawi.
Malawi is the 12th African destination, which SkyCargo will serve with Airbus A310-30OF freighter, once every Friday.
The cargo division is expecting to transport of large quantities of perishables such as fruit, vegetables and cut flowers will be done by cargo division to support Malawi's agricultural economy.
Malawi exports a diverse range of products including textiles, garments, furniture, gemstones and live tropical fish. Tobacco, tea, coffee, beans, pulses, rice, chillies and nuts too are part of the export.
