China's textiles & clothing exports rise marginally in H1

A marginal rise has been witnessed in China’s textiles and apparel exports during the first six months of the current year.
 
China’s overall textile exports fetched US$ 46.49 billion from January to June this year, registering an increase of 1.3 percent year-on-year.
 
Apparel exports from China were worth US$ 67.06 billion during the same period, posting a growth of 1.9 percent year-on-year.
 
Among textiles, fabrics and finished goods exports rose slightly, but yarn exports fell by 3 percent in volume and 8 percent in value, of which cotton yarn exports declined by 3.8 percent in volume and 15.3 percent in value.
 
Among garments, exports of woven and knitted apparels dipped 4 percent in volume, but jumped 5 percent in value.
