Thai textiles entry sought in ME & African markets via Egypt

Thai textile industry can now enter the Middle East (ME) and African markets via Egypt.
Egypt has invited Thai businessmen to invest in its textiles sector as the host country wants to provide fillip to its dynamic industry, conveyed Kantathi Suphamongkhon, Foreign Minister of Thailand.
Egyptian industry has huge growth prospects in ME and African markets apart form the United States and Europe that top as textile export destinations for the country, Kantathi said.
Recently, Foreign Ministers of both countries participated in the Second Thai-Egyptian Joint Committee Meeting wherein an agreement was signed to avoid double taxation.
Both countries further planned to set up Thai-Egyptian Business Council this year and increase number of flights between Bangkok and Cairo.
