Chinese imports of hemp fibre & fabrics dip in 2012

China’s import and export of hemp fiber, textile and products (excluding clothing containing hemp) reached  US $1.29 billion from January to September, a year-on-year decline of 16.21 percent.
 
Of which, total exports amounted US $830 million, a year-on-year decline of 11.28 percent again of which hemp raw materials and hemp fabrics declined by 12.83 percent and 15.49 percent, respectively, year on year.
 
Total imports amounted to US $460 million, a year-on-year decline of 23.84 percent and of which hemp raw materials and hemp fabrics declined by 27.01 percent and 22.61 percent, respectively, year on year.
