China's textile & apparel exports grow in Jan'13

The exports of textiles and apparels from China posted good growth of nearly 15 percent year-on-year in the first month of the current year.
 
China exported textiles and apparels worth US$ 24.691 billion in January 2013, showing a rise of 14.74 percent year-on-year and 2.45 percent on a month-on-month basis, according to the data released by the General Administration of Customs.
 
Category-wise, the exports of textiles, including yarn and fabric, fetched US$ 9.181 billion, registering a sharp rise of 19.59 percent year-on-year and 7.11 percent month-on-month.
 
The exports of clothing and apparel accessories earned US$ 15.51 billion during the month, posting a growth of 12.05 percent year-on-year and 0.12 percent month-on-month.
