China's textile & apparel exports skyrocket in Feb'13

The exports of textiles and apparels from China touched US$ 16.476 billion in February 2013, registering a sharp increase of 69.65 percent year-on-year, according to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs. However, the exports declined by 33.27 percent on a month-on-month basis.
 
The exports of yarn, fabric and other textile products during the month registered US$ 5.888 billion, up 38.08 percent year-on-year, but down 35.87 percent month-on-month.
 
The exports of apparel and clothing accessories fetched US$ 10.588 billion for China during the period, showing an increase of 94.36 percent year-on-year, but down 31.73 percent month-on-month.
 
During the initial two months of the current year, China’s textile and apparel exports totaled US$ 41.167 billion, which is an increase of US$ 9.937 billion or 31.82 percent year-on-year.
